The students of the Visual Culture(s) course of WdKA have designed ruins to be left behind for the future to be found. By these ruins—as records of contemporary culture—the people of the Post/Future have been able to reconstruct the collective living of the human living. The over fifty different works cover a wide range of topics, which are meant as messages towards inhabitants of the Post/Future. What will be left of the world today in the very far future? And what do we want them to know about how we as artists were working anno 2020? This work aims to leave traces for a world to come; traces that give them an impression of our perceptions on reality.
